State-provided funds are used to support all Las Virgenes GATE students during the school day within their regular classrooms. Students are provided with differentiated instruction by their own classroom teachers as determined by their performance and progress in these classroom settings. Differentiation may be provided through leveled assignments, curriculum compacting, clusters, flexible groupings, questions strategies, and more.

Testing for GATE begins after fifth grade. Please refer to the Las Virgenes USD GATE website for more information regarding the referral process and downloadable forms. Information regarding GATE transfer students from other districts is also available on the district GATE website.
