Now that September and most of October has flown by, it is safe to say that White Oak is off to another successful school year! As always, our campus is buzzing with activity.
S.T.A.R with monthly visits by Deputy Donoho of the Lost Hills Sheriff station has started for our 4th and 5th graders. Also starting for our 4th graders is City to Schools where Westlake Village City Staff will visit the 4th grade classes once a month throughout the year and ends with a field trip to City Hall. Last week we had our awesome Annual Pumpkin Patch, that was organized by our amazing PFC, and Westlake Village City Celebration. Both events were a tremendous success and great family fun. This week we will be participating in the Great California Shakeout on 10/20 at 10:20 am with millions of others around the world. Next week is Red Ribbon Week with activities happening each day that include “Crazy Hair Day” and “Ride your Bike to school Day”. We are one busy school!
I want to personally thank all of our parent volunteers who put in an enormous amount of time and energy to make many of our activities come together. Our White Oak students benefit from all your efforts and your support is what sets White Oak apart from the rest. Go Lions!
