Traffic Parking and Safety

Parents are expected to park in the non- reserved parking areas or on the street. The "Reserved" parking spaces are for staff only. When you park in the reserved parking, you keep staff from attending to your children.

We are all very concerned about the safety of our students and have made changes to our drop-off and pick-up plans that we feel will enhance their safety. The 5 minute parking spots in the east lot (staff lot) have been eliminated, and there is now a single line for drop-off and pick-up. School staff will assist students in getting out of the car, so please pull all the way forward. We ask that you have their backpack, lunch, etc. next to your child to facilitate his/her exit from the car. If you choose to walk your Kindergartener, please park on the street. When dropping off students in front of the school or in our new drop-off area (in front of the MP room), please pull all the way up. Be sure your child is ready to get out of the car as soon as you stop. To keep traffic flowing in the morning, it is necessary that you leave immediately. Carpools are strongly recommended.

Children are also encouraged to walk or bike to school. Crossing Guards are provided by the City of WLV to assist children at Village School Rd./Shropshire Ct., and at Lindero Canyon/Middlegate Rd.
